"Feel the Beat-olution"
Welcome back to our blog! Thank you for staying tuned with us. Music is love and we are here for our music lovers to give them latest updates. Do check today's list of very cool vinyls.
- Structures From Silence by Steve Roach: Structures From Silence is 1st time on vinyl since 1984. Steve Roach attempted to fill the hole caused by the synthesizer's complete independence from human touch - that is, the reverberation of the breath and the body's engagement with an acoustic instrument, which the synthesizer ignores. Using the apparently infinite powers of the then-new Oberheim OB-8 polyphonic synthesizer, Roach broke away from the confines of meter and pace, instead allowing his breathing to determine the sustain durations of the notes. Limited to 500 copies, this 40th anniversary edition is on sea blue and ultra clear color-in-color vinyl and includes extensive notes from Roach on the album's composition. Website Link- turntablelab
- Scrapbook by Switchblade Symphony: This is the first official commercial release of this rarities album by the legendary Bay Area goth rock duo Switchblade Symphony! Includes all of the music from the band's previous cassette EPs, Elegy and Fable, as well as mixes by NIN programmer Keith Hillebrandt and The Damned's Rat Scabies, among other delights! Available on bandcamp in Pink, Purple and Black haze vinyl.
- What Happened to the Heart? by Aurora: What happened to the heart? Is a journey from weakness to strength, from self-destruction to self-healing. A Poignant and Introspective Musical Journey that details the loss of spiritual connection in modern society, the healing power of vulnerability, and the call to ignite change by reuniting the heart with politics and personal growth. The album is releasing on June 7th exclusive and limited edition on Red and Blue Vinyl. Website Link- aurora-music
- Interplay by Ride: Everything seems to be leading up to Interplay, Ride's seventh album and third since their 2015 reunion. It's the sound of the band connecting all the dots, taking the frantic guitar assaults, hypnotic rhythms, and dreamy melodic hooks of their early work and placing them to a more wider sonic framework that includes synth flourishes, psychedelic folk, electronic beats, and noir-pop soundscapes. Interplay is a rich listen that flows from start to finish, at times urgent and formidable, at others wistful and melancholic. Website Link- banquetrecords
- Spirit Phone by Lemon Demon: Spirit Phone is a compilation of 14 deviously charming pop songs that playfully explore dark subjects including haunted homes, candy cannibalism, Lovecraftian romance, and 1980s economics. The album's gloomy topics are presented with cheeky delight, recalling the lighthearted ghoulish work of new wave artists such as Oingo Boingo. Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop gave it an 8/10 for Best of 2016, complimenting its creative lyrics, great energy, and catchy melody. Red and Yellow Vinyl limited edition of 500 copies will be releasing tomorrow! Website Link- newburycomics
