| With over 15 years under his belt, Artek, a Chicago Native DJ, music producer, and sound engineer has proven his stance in the Hip Hop scene ever since the early 90’s. While working alongside the group called “The Pacifics”, his talents for beat making shined the torch on the road to the Music Industry. Throughout the 90’s, young Artek made his way as a touring DJ (under DJ B:p.m.) bringing him to places like Barcelona, Hawaii, and even his motherland Philippines. In 1996, his debut solo, under the moniker “Projekt p.m.”, became an international club hit, propelling his efforts towards club dates and countless bookings. In 1998, Artek began his monumental journey into producing and promoting Chicago’s longest running Hip Hop Open Mic night at Wickerparks “Subterranean”. Today, his music production has even branched off into the media such as MTV shows like “The Real World”, “The J-lo Show”, or even “Fresh Meat” Artek has also scored a string of international cable network programming from The MYX Channel, ABS-CBN and even motion pictures. With so many facets and avenues it’s no wonder why he made 2006’s UR Magazine “The New Face of Chicago Hip Hop issue” as well as countless other magazines and publications nationally and internationally.
